As part of Shropshire Council’s energy saving scheme to turn off street lights during the night, some of the lamp posts along Bank Farm Road were replaced in January.

The Council’s plan is to turn off some of the lights along Bank Farm Road and every light on the residential roads off Bank Farm Road between midnight and 5.30 a.m. each day. We don’t yet know the start date.

You can learn more about part-night lighting at Shropshire Council’s website. There’s a map so you can check which street lights are to be switched off, and an FAQ that provides more information.
