The Shrewsbury Lions Club Santa Sleigh will be travelling around Radbrook on two nights this week — Thursday the 12th and Friday the 13th between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. — collecting money for people in need. Every penny raised goes to those who need it — 100% of it.

From the 1 January 2014, the popular Children’s Party package, which includes use of the hall and kitchen, will be extended to 3 hours, with a new hiring fee of £40. Additional time will cost £6 per half hour. If required, the meeting room can be hired at £6 per half hour. See ‘Booking the Community Centre‘ for full details.

Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust is running a ‘Call To Action‘ consultation to help shape the future of the NHS healthcare in Shropshire and Telford & Wrekin. This is your chance to share your experiences, opinions and stories as part of the discussion. Online survey closes 4 November 2013. Also, face-to-face conference on Monday, 25 November at Telford International Centre.

 

The Bowbrook, Copthorne and Radbrook Local Joint Committee is holding a public meeting on Wednesday, 25 September 2013 at 7 p.m. at Radbrook Primary School, in Calverton Way, Radbrook, Shrewsbury, SY3 6DZ.

Amongst items of interest, there will be an update on the Shrewsbury West Urban Extension.

Councillor Peter Nutting, the Chair of the meeting, stated:

“There is going to be a lot of development around the town over the coming years, and it is important that people have the opportunity to attend local meetings to find out what is going on and raise any issues they may have.”

An update will be provided about parking around the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital, there will be a report from local police, funding updates and public questions.

Please take this opportunity to keep up to date on local issues and ask questions of your councillors about local issues.

Come and see CEG’s development proposals for Land at Bowbrook, Shrewsbury at a public exhibition on Saturday, 22 June at Radbrook Community Centre.

The development features:

  • 425 new homes
  • A new Countryside Park
  • A large area of land given over to future community, recreation and/or education  purposes

This public exhibition will provide an excellent opportunity to view the current plans and meet with the project team, who will be on hand to answer any questions. The exhibitions have been widely advertised and local residents are invited to attend and provide their feedback.

CEG will also be holding a public exhibition on Friday, 21 June at the Bicton Heath Community Hall.
