Over 90 people gathered at the Radbrook Community Centre on Friday, 2 November to watch Anne Lakelin create six beautiful flower arrangements using fruit, flowers, candles and foliage. These were raffled off during the interval and six lucky prize winners left the building at the end of the evening proudly carrying one of Anne’s arrangements. For the second half of the evening, David Trumper held the audience’s attention with his slide show and talk about Shrewsbury’s past. It was fascinating to see pictures dating back to the early part of the 20th century and to hear David’s comments on the people and incidents at that time. £440 was raised on the evening for Bosom Buddies, a local breast cancer charity.
